Why do you sometimes ask for a passport copy?
Your passport copy is crucial for us to secure the necessary travel permit from local authorities. This permit is vital for ensuring your safety and adherence to government regulations during your excursion. As an accredited travel agency, we are fully equipped to handle these formalities, providing you with peace of mind and a seamless travel experience. In all excursions to Dahab, we kindly ask that you bring printed copies of your passport, which will be handed over to our guide for submission to the police. Police checkpoints are present at various locations when departing from Sharm El Sheikh. It’s also advisable to have a digital copy of your passport photo on your phone at all times. For security purposes, during other excursions, we request that passports be left at the hotel, hence having a digital photo on your phone is sufficient for police checks if necessary. Additionally, when leaving Sinai for destinations such as Cairo or Luxor, individuals must carry their passport with them at all times.
What is the best time to visit Egypt?
Egypt is a year-round destination, with each season offering unique experiences. The best time to visit Egypt depends on your interests and the activities you wish to partake in. The peak tourist season in Egypt is from October to April, when the weather is mild and comfortable. During this period, you can enjoy sightseeing, desert safaris, and other outdoor activities. The summer months, from May to September, are ideal for beach vacations and water sports, with temperatures reaching up to 40°C. If you’re planning to visit Egypt during the summer, we recommend staying in coastal cities like Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, or Marsa Alam, where you can enjoy the sea breeze and cool waters. For cultural and historical tours, the winter months are the best time to visit, as the weather is cooler and more pleasant for exploring ancient sites and monuments.
What is the currency in Egypt?
The official currency of Egypt is the Egyptian Pound (EGP). It is advisable to carry some cash in local currency for small purchases and tips, as many establishments do not accept credit cards. ATMs are widely available in major cities and tourist areas, allowing you to withdraw cash in Egyptian Pounds. Credit cards are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and shops in tourist areas, but it’s always a good idea to carry some cash for emergencies or places that don’t accept cards.
Can I bring alcohol on the tours?
Bringing and serving alcohol are prohibited by Egyptian authorities due to safety reasons and out of respect for religious beliefs.
Do I need visa to Egypt?
Visitors to Sharm El Sheikh can benefit from a visa-free entry program that allows them to stay in the South Sinai area (includes Sharm El Sheikh) for up to 15 days. Visa is however required for any travel to the African part of Egypt (Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, etc).Visa policies can change, so we recommend verifying the current visa requirements with the Egyptian embassy or consulate in your country or checking official government sources for the most up-to-date information before your trip.

Will we be picked up at the hotel?

When will you send me the pick-up time?
We’ll send you the pick-up time in the afternoon, one day before your trip.
What if I lose something on the trip?
Please contact our staff as soon as possible, to check if we found anything. However, please note that we are not responsible for any lost items; any search for lost items is at your expense.
Is tipping expected on the tour?
Tipping (also called baksheesh) is customary in Egypt, especially for service providers such as tour guides, drivers, and hotel staff. While tipping is not mandatory, it is appreciated and often expected. The amount can vary depending on the length of the trip, the level of service provided, and your satisfaction.
